Congratulations to Mark Fecenko, Partner at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG), on receiving the Lexology Client Choice Award in recognition for his work in the category of Projects & Procurement. Client Choice recognizes law firm partners from around the world that stand apart for the excellent client service they provide.

SJHS-GPO works closely with Mark and the legal team at BLG to address legal procurement issues as they arise, including compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. Mark and his team at BLG provide SJHS-GPO with the pragmatic legal counsel needed to support our fast-paced operations as well as the development of new and innovative procurement strategies that meet our Members’ evolving needs. In addition, Mark regularly speaks at Members' meetings to provide ongoing education and support.

“Mark’s knowledge in the area of public procurement is all-encompassing and beyond that, he uses his specialized experience in healthcare acquisitions to respond to our complex needs as a national group purchasing organization.” says Annette Senko, Assistant Director of SJHS-GPO. “We couldn’t do it without him.”

“I’ve tended to focus on the broader public sector because there is a great deal of value to be brought to this realm. I’ve found it gratifying to work with St. Joseph’s Health System, GPO in particular, because of their best-in-class expertise, which is used by so many healthcare organizations across the country,” says Mark, reflecting on his work in public procurement.

“In the procurement exercises I do with SJHS-GPO, I can see the immense value they bring – not only through cost efficiencies, but also the quality and legal protections and business terms they are able to negotiate. With participation being completely voluntary, to have attracted so many Members is a real tribute to the organization and it is a privilege to contribute to the work they do,” he adds.

This is Mark’s third Client Choice win, having also received distinctions in 2013 and 2016 for his expertise in the area of Information Technology. To learn more about Mark and his practice at BLG, visit:
